After some months as a member, I accepted an invitation to join DANA’s New Zealand sub-committee to help our local members respond effectively to alcohol and other drugs (AOD) issues in a culturally sensitive manner.
Our DANA community aims to reduce harm, combat stigma, and enhance education for communities impacted by drug and alcohol use. Our goal is to create a supportive environment where individuals receive the resources and understanding they need for healthier lives.
If NZNO members would like to know more about DANA and the benefits it offers to nurses, midwives and other health professionals working in addiction services, please get in touch or visit https://www.danaonline.org/membership/member-benefits/
Nurses can also download a member poster to distribute across networks to help colleagues connect with other nurses working in the addiction space.
