Senior nurse speaks about May Day event as activities spark up around the country By Joel Maxwell April 29, 2026 Senior nurse Mae Gadd puts out the karanga to members to head to Wellington hospital on May 1 to honour the great mahi done by health workers. “We are holding a brief event at 7am from Wellington hospital to Newtown School.” She said organisers would love to see members starting or finishing their shifts on the day for the event.
